How is Fan of Progressive Dynamics Pure Sine Wave Inverter PD94FR Kicked On
Updated 01/12/2022 | Published 01/11/2022 >
Question:
On the PD94FR 1,000 Watt inverter, can you tell me if the fans stay off at any level of 110V Wattage load? I know its based on internal temperature of the unit, but do the fans run constantly although at different speeds based on load or is there a point at which the fans dont run, i.e. if the load is less that 300 Watts or 200 Watts, at a normal ambient indoor air temperature, in your experience? Im looking for something like this to run a fish pond pump draws about 340 Watts at 110V. continuously off of a 12V 100Ah LifePo4 battery, and dont think that the fans running 24/7/365 would be a good idea for longevity.

Expert Reply:
The fans of the Progressive Dynamics Pure Sine Wave Inverter w/ Transfer Switch # PD94FR are only programmed to come on based on temperature and not on a specific load range of any kind. If the load is low enough heat wouldn't be generated at a certain point and the fans would most likely not kick on. But there's environmental factors to consider like ambient temperature etc.
