Setting Distance Between Front and Rear Hangers of Trailer Suspension
Published 12/30/2021 >
Question:
I have 2 new 7k axles and center of spring holes is 25inch my equalizer is 6inch center of holes, do I simply add half of my equalizer and space my hangers at 28 so an equal load would have the shackle straps sitting perpendicular to the trailer deck?

You will want the equalizer to angle in about 1/2 an inch so you'd need to compensate that by taking one inch off of the distance you mentioned so 27 inched would be correct distance between the hanger bolt centers.
