Does Titan Tire Chain TC2326 Fit 265/60R18 and 265/50-20

Question:

In an expert response to a question if a specific Titan Tire Chain may fit tire size 265/60R18 when its proven to fit 265/50-20, the response was it will only fit 265/50-20 but not 265/60R18, But the two tire size are almost identical except 265/50-20 has a thinner wall than 265/60R18. The other dimensions are all within 0.5 difference, see link below for detail comparison or you may do your own research: Question is: how can a tire chain not fitting an almost identical size of tire? I dont think tire wall matters to tire chain. Thanks.

Tire chain fits are pretty exact as they have to fit just right so that they install easy enough yet still fit well without slack that would flop around and hit the truck or just come off altogether. So with that in mind a 1/2 inch difference is pretty significant which is why a set of chains like the # TC2326 only fits the 265/50-20 and not the 265/60R18.
