What base plate kit for my 2018 Focus?

I recommend going with the etrailer base plate kit and tow bar system for your 2018 Ford Focus. For the base plate kit you need part # e98960 and then for the tow bar you need the etrailer SD Non-Binding Tow Bar # e34ZR which also comes with safety cables. I really like this combo because the base plate kit has the removable tabs for a great look when you aren't towing, and the tow bar has adjustability in the head to essentially eliminate the need for a high-low adapter.

To complete your flat towing setup I also recommend going with the Demco Combo Kit # DM9523057 which comes with your wiring, locks, and tow bar cover, and then the Brake Buddy Select 3 # HM39524 for a braking system. The combo kits are a nice way to add some extra parts to your system that you normally wouldn't think about (locks and the cover) and then the Select 3 is a portable system so you won't have as intense of an install as you would with a fixed system, plus it can be moved easier from one vehicle to the next if need be.
