For a great 2-inch hitch that fits your 2022 Ford Transit Connect, I recommend the Curt Class III # C13167. Not only does this hitch provide you with the most weight capacity out of current hitches for your vehicle (525 maximum tongue weight/4,000 pounds maximum gross towing weight), it also comes with an outer gloss coating over a base powder coat that is better quality than the competitor hitch # 75852. As far as installation, the Curt hitch comes with an easy bolt-on installation that only takes about 30 minutes to complete.
If you are planning to tow with your Transit Connect, I recommend a ball mount/ball like the ones that come with the Curt Towing Starter Kit # C45534. Also, if you need wiring, I recommend the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118613. This harness will provide you with brake light, running light, and turn signal functions.
