How Do I Remove the Twists from the LED Fabric Light Kit # LC674283?

Question:

I recieved my light kit and when I cut the zip ties holding it in a coil, the light is twisted and will not feed straight into the awning. Is this common? How do I straighten it so it slides on like its supposed to?

This is fairly common when receiving anything shipped in a coil-like shape like the LED Fabric Light Kit with Switch/Plate for Solera RV Awning # LC674283. One of the best things to do is to grab one end of the light strip and to firmly (but carefully) apply continuous pressure and guide your hand down the length of the coil while straightening it. I recommend doing this several times. This will definitely help take out some of the twists in the coil.

However, this probably will not remove the twists completely. Rest assured that the twists will naturally come off once installed with the awning over a period of time.
