Is Retrax One XR Tonneau Cover For 2018 Ford F-250 Compatible With Thule XSporter Pro Crossbars
Published 12/10/2021 >
Question:
Hello- I have a RetraxOne XP on my 2018 F250. I also own a full thule rack system using the bars from the Xsporter Pro system. Advertising features the thule square bars as being compatible with the RetraxOne. I would like to try to use my existing Xsporter Pro bars instead because all my accesories fit those. I guess my question is this: Are there conversion parts that match Xsporter Pro Bars to the RetraxOne XP rails? Ive talked with Thule once about this and they gave me erroneous information stating the only rack that works with rails are Thule ladder racks. Therefore I dont really trust their responses and dont think they know RetraxOne XP very well. Thanks for your help.

You said RetraxOne XP, though I searched and could not find any reference to an XP, so I believe you are are referencing the RetraxONE XR Hard Tonneau Cover # RTT-60383 for your 2018 Ford F-250, which has the side rails. If so, unfortunately there is not a conversion kit for your Xsporter Pro crossbars to the Retrax rails.
That is not something that has been made, though there is a very similar option you can use from Rhino-Rack that will fit those rails and has crossbars that are 3-1/8" wide x 1-3/16" tall, which is very close in size to the Xsporter Pro crossbars. They also have a top channel for channel-mounted accessories if you utilize those:
- Rhino-Rack Vortex Crossbar System for Retrax XR Series and Mountain Top EVO-M Tonneau Covers # RRVA180B-RRRLT600
I can certainly understand wanting to re-use your current bars, though there isn't a conversion kit, so the Rhino-Rack is really the best option.
