Will The Curt Fixed 5th Wheel Hitch C36WR Fit The Pucks In A Short Bed 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500?
Published 12/07/2021 >
Question:
I just got a 22 Chevy Silverado 2500 with the 6 3/4 foot bed and need to get a 5th wheel hitch to pull my camper. I have a Reese 5th Airborne Sidewinder already installed on it as my last truck was a short bed as well, so I do not want to get a slider hitch. However, I may be upgrading the camper to something larger in the near future since this 2500 can pull quite a bit more than my previous Silverado. So I am looking at the Curt PowerRide C36WR since it is rated to 30k. I wont ever pull that much, but I like knowing that it can handle that. But with my truck having the short bed, will this still fit the pucks in the bed? Or is it just for the long bed trucks?

Expert Reply:
The Curt PowerRide 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C36WR will absolutely fit your 2022 Chevy Silverado 2500, even with it having the short bed. The pucks used in both the long bed and short bed versions of Silverado will have the same spacing and are cross compatible without issues.
