Does Torklift SuperHitch Require Use of Aluminum Camper Tie Downs

Question:
2015 Silverado Long Bed truck, with a long truck camper. A few years ago, I replaced TorkLift rear aluminum tie-downs with Torklift steel tie downs after breaking of an aluminum tie-down with a severe bump. Will I need to go back to aluminum tie-downs in order to use model TLC1211? I plan to use it with a 48inch Superhitch extension. Im replacing the factory hitch, which I had been using with a Reece 48inch bar. Im not comfortable with the Reece bar following a sudden stop where the Reece bar became elevated destroying the tow-bar and damaging the Wrangler. Thanks
