Question:

Hello, I have a 2000 Four Winds Chateau 31S RV. I need to replace the rear ladder. The height is 98-99 but the depth from the ladder to wear it mounts on the roof is about 24-25 and the bottom mounts about 8 off the RV. Will the Stromberg Carlson Universal Ladder work for this model?

The Stromberg Carlson RV Exterior Ladder w/ Hinges, # LA-401BA for black or, # LA-401 in aluminum finish sounds like a great option to replace your current ladder. It has similar dimensions of 99-1/2" tall. This ladder is also supported with many replacement parts if needed in the future, hopefully preventing the need for complete replacement and expense associated with that. See link below.

Please keep in mind that the RV exterior ladders we offer are not exact OEM replacements but are general-application items that function perfectly well with most RVs. The # LA-401BA and, # LA-401, can be attached to an RV with either a contoured or straight rear wall. There is a pivoting mounting brackets at top of ladder ensure a secure fit on the RV roof. If using hinges on a flat wall, place the lower stand-off close to the hinge to prevent flexing. This has a customizable length by simply cutting the bottom of ladder legs to adjust length for a perfect fit.
