Question:
Hello, I recently bought a 2014 Subaru Outback that has the plastic trimmed roof cross bars that swing across and lock in place. I have read that the Yakima Landing Pads can be bolted to the existing ‘rails’ and then better bars installed. Could you confirm which ones will fit if the factory cross bars are removed? Many thanks!

You've read correctly! I recommend installing the JetStream crossbar system on your 2014 Subaru Outback Wagon so you will need to remove your OEM crossbars and then use the following:
50" JetStream Crossbars - Black # Y00425
SkyLine Towers - # Y53TR
Landing Pad 13 - # Y00239
Lock Cores - # Y07204 (optional)
The Landing Pad 13 fits in the same mounting locations as your OEM crossbars like what you've read.
