Troubleshooting Weak Signal Strength With A Jensen JWM70A RV Stereo System

Question:

We have a 2019 Forest River Istata 3 motor home. On the Jensen JWM70A we can not get very many radio stations. When we park our pick up truck near it, our truck can get over 10 stations, but our Istata may pick up one. Also when we put a dvd into the player, nothing happens, on my smart phone app it is not even showing we have a dvd player. Any ideas to help us.

When it comes to the Jensen RV Stereo - Single DIN - AUX/USB, Bluetooth, jControl - 12V # JWM70A not picking up radio stations you can solve this issue by installing the Jensen Antenna - Rooftop or Side Mount # AN519. This antenna is going to boost the stereo's ability to receive signals, allowing for more stations to be picked up.

As for the stereo not recognizing dvd's this could be a disc reader issue. The only option for this type of issue is to clean the disc slot out using a canned of compressed air. Disc readers can get clogged up with dust preventing them from correctly functioning. If you are experiencing this with dvd's only and cd's are correctly working then there is an internal issue with the stereo and you would want to contact the manufacturer, ASA Electronics, for a possible warranty replacement.
