Question:
I already have a Curt Tow Bar #C19745 that was purchased for a different vehicle years ago and never used. Now Im trying to apply it to a 02 Saturn SC2 but dont want to modify the front end so much to have the plates permanently mounted. I am looking at and believe I need either the Roadmaster Crossbar-Style #162-5 or the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit #52181-1. My issue/question is that I cant tell if the plates with the Curt kit will mount to the removable arm on either of those kits. The Curt product page shows a 4 center for the bolts on the plate, neither of those kits seem to say what the spacing is on their plates and Id rather not drill to modify or weld the two together if I can avoid it. Can you confirm one of these will work w/o much/any modifying or is there another tow bar that would be needed/better for those quick connect kits.

You will need to get a completely new tow bar if you're wanting to install a custom base plate kit on your 2002 Saturn SC2. The Curt Tow Bar # C19745 that you have is designed to be connected to your vehicle using the universal brackets that come with the tow bar and the tow bar isn't compatible with anything else.
I recommend going with the Roadmaster EZ Base Plate Kit # 52181-1 and pairing it with the Roadmaster StowMaster Tow Bar # RM-501 which connects to the motorhome using a coupler just like the Curt that you currently have.
You'll also need safety cables # RM-643, lights # PE26UR, and a braking system like the Brake Buddy Classic 3 # HM39494 to complete a flat towing setup.
I've attached some videos for you to check out.
