The 7- and 4-Pole Trailer Connector Socket w/ Mounting Bracket - Vehicle End # HM40975 is designed to plug into a factory 7-pole connector to give you the ability to connect a 4-pole flat and 7-pole round without the need for an adapter so this product would not hook up with the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 55540.
Instead you would be able to use the # 55540 with the Universal Installation Kit for Trailer Brake Controller - 7-Way RV and 4-Way Flat - 10 Gauge Wires # ETBC7. Along with the 4-pole wiring harness this kit will include everything you need to install an electric trailer brake controller and 7-way connector.
