The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 31433 you referenced is for the 75th Anniversary Edition Jeep Wrangler that came out in 2016 it also fits the hard rock editions. These models have the hard rock bumper which changed the mounting bolts for the front mount hitch. I have linked the instructions. The Curt item # 31433 is not a confirmed fit for the 2014 Wrangler Sahara Unlimited. The Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 31432 you said was too short is only compatible with the Jeep Wrangler Ulimited models that have the standard factory bumper.
