Can You Install A Voltage Regulator Before A MaxxFan Deluxe 7500
Published 11/19/2021 >
Question:
I am interested in adding a Maxxfan vent fan either 6200 or 7500 or simular to my trailer but am concerned about numerous reports that they are intolerant to minor voltage fluctuations. In many reviews it seems the manufacturer recommends a 12 volt voltage regulator to fixinch the problem. Do you have any comments or suggestions? Perhaps a recommendation for voltage regulator installed before the fan? Or an alternate fan? Thank you

The reason the MaxxAir MaxxFan Deluxe Roof Vent # MA00-07500K would shut off is because the unit was receiving more than 13.6 volts. To mitigate this issue, yes you can install a voltage regulator before the unit on the power line. This will ensure you do not have any voltage spikes to shut your unit off.
