Question:
This harness has been working for months now I have a strange issue. I have the 4 pin tester in the connector and this is what i see. When the car is off the Tail and RT lights are dim but on. When the car is running the Tail and RT lights are dim but on. When I use the Left Turn or Hazards the LT is brighter and the TAIL and RT stay on. When I use the Right Turn signal no chagnge. I have double and triple checked the ground but no change. Do you know what this could be?

What you described sounds like a shorted out converter box. Especially since you already checked the connections of everything as well. Best option is to replace the kit with a new one. We have found that the Tekonsha converter boxes are the most reliable so for your 2012 Subaru Impreza the # 118573 would be your best option.
