Question:

Is there any trimming required if I got the R-Line package ? Im interested in both Eco Hitches, regular Eco and Stealth one, leaning more in the Stealth one as it gives the cleaner look. Thanks !

I would be happy to answer those questions for you. All three of those hitches, the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver Item # 306-X7395, the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 306-X7393, and the Stealth Hitches Hidden Rack Receiver item # SH49ZR have an identical installation method on your 2019 Volkswagen Tiguan. This includes the models with the R-Line trim package. The rear bumper trim is completely removed to access the rear bumper bar which is removed to install the hitch receiver. Once the hitch receiver is installed the bumper trim reattaches and the cross bar is completely concealed leaving only the hitch portion hanging below the bumper trim. There is no trimming required on any of these hitch receivers. I have linked a video of the installation being done for the Stealth Hitch item # SH49ZR so you can follow along with the process.

I recommend the EcoHitch Stealth Trailer Hitch Receiver item # 306-X7393 it has identical capacity to the EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch Receiver Item # 306-X7395 but the receiver portion is completely removable so you will never see it unless you are towing something or using it to carry an accessory.
