Question:
Does the foot operated remote tailgate opener have to be moved when installing the C22HR? Also, does the plastic bumper cover have to be cut? Does the wiring kit need to be connected to the battery or simply installed inline with the tail light/brake light wiring? Thanks.

Good questions, and let's start with the hands-free liftgate, which does not get moved; additionally, there is no bumper fascia trimming required on your 2022 Acura MDX when installing the Curt hitch that fits, which is the following part number:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C22HR
As for the 4-way wiring, it does need to be connected to the battery in order for it to receive power; the correct fit for your '22 MDX is the Powered Tail Light Converter with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C59236.
