Where Do Uprights of CC-255 A-frame Trailer Tray Cargo Carrier Join to Cargo Platform

For the stromberg tray, where should the upright large tube supports be mounted front to rear on the side of the rack? I also have a generator that I want on the rack. What is the best way to strap that down? I have a Firman MODEL: W03383.

Expert Reply:
As you can see in the provided photo, the upright legs position on the # CC-255 tray is adjustable. They can attach anywhere from the centerline of the platform to about 1-1/2 inches forward of the rear edge. The plate that joins the top of the upright legs to the platform has a series of holes that allows the platform to the adjusted fore and aft.
The footprint of your Firman W03383 is 23.2x17.8, which will fit perfectly on the platform. To secure the generator to the platform, I'd use some # SM34FR ratchet straps ran through the generator's integrated grab handles. Once strapped in place, that generator isn't going anywhere.
