Can I Carry Cross Country Skis With The SeaSucker Pallavicini Ski Rack

Question:
Will the Seasucker Ski and Snowboard carrier secure xcountry skis? It is not clear that the straps will tighten on skis that are minimal width.

I was able to speak to a SeaSucker representative and he informed me that the SeaSucker Ski and Snowboard Carrier - Vacuum Cup Mounted - 4 Pairs of Skis or 2 Boards, part # 298-SK2425, would be able to accommodate cross country skis on first setting.
