I have a 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Denali with the carbon pro bed. Is there a special ladder rack needed for this?

There is nothing listed that states a special ladder rack outside the typical options available is needed for the Carbon Pro bed on the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500. My suggestion is, the Yakima OverHaul HD Adjustable Truck Bed Ladder Rack, # Y01151-58. First the fact that it is adjustable, this is a big selling point for me, from 19" to 30" above truck bed rails. Lowering the height from several inches above the cab for entering under a garage door may not be needed, but it is still a great feature. You can lower when not in use and have less concern when driving under something during daily driving situation. This feature can also be a great thing when using for outdoor activities such as camping. For example, if you wanted to use a roof top tent, such as the Yakima SkyRise HD, # Y07436, being able to lower the rails for entry/exit of tent is makes this easier.

For the specs, the weight capacity is a full 500 lbs. on-road and 300 lbs. off-road with the rack itself weighing 50 lbs.

In addition, this truck rack comes with T-slots in the uprights and crossbars to accommodate most Yakima channel-mount and clamp-on accessories. You can add eye bolts or additional lights to the bottom channels and mount accessories like off-road lights, load stops, # Y01161. This also has available SideBar Rails, # Y01153.
