How to Connect Two 6V Batteries for 12V Power

Question:
Is I bought a rv with the batteries hooked up 2 6 Volts like 2 twelves what will that do to my trailer or batteries can I just rehook it the right way

Expert Reply:
You will want to hook up your batteries in series (see attached photo) so that you maintain that 12V power system. If you were to hook them up in parallel then you would have a 6V series which wouldn't work with your RV. There may be an appliance or few lights that can run off of 6V or 12V power but most things won't work and may be damaged.
If you were looking for a charger for your batteries when you're parked then the NOCO Genius # NOC24FR is what I recommend so that you can charge the batteries individually for a more accurate charge.
