Does Transmission Cooler Core have to be Filled with Fluid Before Install on a 2007 Chevy Suburban

Question:

Is it necessary to fill cooler with transmission fluid or can I just top it off from fill inlet. 2007 chevy suburban LT.

When installing a transmission cooler such as # D13504, you do not have to pre-fill the cooler. Instead you will complete the installation, start the vehicle and let it run. Check for leaks during this time and maybe shift it into drive for a few seconds then put it back in park. Check the fluid level and add as needed.
