Which Cargo Carrier is Quieter a Fixed or Folding Carrier

Have been reviewing products for an external hitch mounted carrier and while I would prefer a fold up style cargo carrier, I am concerned about potential noise/rattle. I am hyper sensitive to noise and rattles in my vehicle. I understand that the spring hitch pin or the U bolt option will reduce the receiver noise, what about shifting and rattle from the pins used to hold in the upright position? they appear to lend themselves to vibration. I am looking at this model for fold up option or the fixed position 49 inch Curt aluminum model. Again, prefer fold up but added connections and bolts would seem to be potentially noisy. thanks

If you do not want any noise or movement from your cargo carrier you'd want a fixed carrier. The folding ones will get on your nerves as they are just somewhat prone to movement.
The Curt Aluminum Carrier part # C18113 would be your best option. Then to lock it to your hitch and lock out any hitch movement the hitch lock/anti-rattle # 63232 would be your best option as well.
