In most cases, since the rails differ from each year/make/model/bed size of truck, there are no common fits for different years of Ford F-150 tonneau covers. However, in order to be sure, the only way to confirm whether a specific tonneau cover fill fit both a 2016 and a 2018 F-150 is to know the exact model of tonneau cover in question and the bed size of both trucks. If you have a 5-1/2 foot bed on both trucks, for example, the BAKFlip G2 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK26329 will fit both.
