Can Trailer Hitch From a Honda CR-V Fit a Ford Escape
Published 10/25/2021 >
Question:
Hello, I have one of your hitches for a 2007 Honda CR-V that I would like to mount on a 2004 Ford Escape. I noticed the models are different. Is there an adaptor or anything that would make this work? Thanks,

Trailer hitches are vehicle specific so if you're needing a hitch for your 2004 Ford Escape you will need to get one that was designed for your vehicle. The only way to get a hitch that wasn't made for a vehicle to fit is to have someone fabricate it to fit...which would likely cost more than a new hitch.
For your 2004 Ford Escape I recommend going with the Curt # C13506 which is assembled here in the US and we have found typically has a thicker powder coat than other options so it will stand up to road debris better.
If you let me know what you plan on using the trailer hitch for I can make some other recommendations as well.
