Will Clamp From WestSlope Bike Rack Touch Front Forks on Bike
Published 10/25/2021 >
Question:
How do you avoid contact with the fork tubes? We have mountain bikes, and I dont want the clamp rubbing against the tubes. Most manufacturers suggest placing the front wheel clamp as close to the forks as possible, which places the clamps against our tubes. How do we avoid rubbing?

While you do want to get the clamp as close to the fork tubes as possible, it's not good practice to have the clamp from the RockyMounts WestSlope Bike Rack for 3 Bikes # RKY10223 touching the tubes like what you mentioned. If you check out the attached photo you'll see how we were able to get the bike secured with the clamp but we have enough room that the clamp isn't touching the bike frame.
