Will the Inno Wedge 660 Fit on my Platform Roof Rack on My 2021 Toyota 4Runner?

Question:

I have a platform roof rack on my 2021 4Runner. The cross bars are 1”x2” and they do have t slots. I have about 1” of clearance between the cross bar and the roof of my vehicle at the very center. This cargo box tapers at the back and the front but I am not sure how much. Can you provide the vertical measurement from the bottom of the taper the point where the cargo box will lay on the flat cross bars?

I have a great cargo box solution for you. Unfortunately, we do not have the exact measurement of the vertical underbelly of the front and rear of the Inno Wedge 660 - 11 cu ft. # INBRM660BK. However, for a solution that has absolutely no extra height added underneath that interferes with your roof on your 2021 Toyota 4Runner, I recommend the Trunx Rooftop Cargo Box - 18 cu ft - Black # TRX34FR. With the Trunx, you will not have to worry about vertical clearance on your roof and the Trunx will fit your 1 inch x 2 inch platform on your vehicle. You also get the extra benefit of having 18 cubic feet of space versus the 11 cubic feet of the Wedge 660 without breaking the bank.

As far as hatch clearance, you will be able to open the rear hatch with the Trunx installed. The only thing you have to keep in mind of is that your platform needs to have a crossbar spread of between 24 inches - 39 inches. This means that the location where you wish to install the Trunx must have a distance between those bars that fit within this length. In order to confirm for sure if your platform provides that much spread, I recommend measuring you two desired mounting points on the platform to calculate that length.
