I would like to know what I need to tow a 2011 Jeep Patriot with a manual transmission behind my 2021 Mercedes Sprinter van

In order to flat tow your 2011 Jeep Patriot behind your 2021 Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 2500 you will need a few components.

The first thing you'll need is a base plate kit. This base plate kit connects to the toad vehicle to allow tow bars to be connected to the towed vehicle. For this, I recommend the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit # BX1130 which is a confirmed fit for your Patriot.

Next you'll need a tow bar; A popular choice with a maximum weight capacity of 6,500 lbs is the Blue Ox Alpha 2 Non-Binding Tow Bar # BX7380. This is a non-binding tow bar makes it easy to connect and disconnect no matter the angle or terrain. This tow bar also comes with safety cables which if it wasn't included would also be required for flat towing.

Following this, you'll need wiring. For that I recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267.
