In order to install the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56434 on your 2021 Toyota RAV4 Hybrid, the first thing you need to do is disconnect the negative terminal from the battery. After this step, you need to remove any carpeting and scuff panel from the trunk. Next, you will need to Locate the push fasteners on the top of the lower sidewall trim. Using a small flathead screwdriver, release the push fastener lock and pull out. Repeat this process on the passenger side.

Once the push fastener is removed from both sides, you will need to remove the trim from the driver's side. This will expose the tail light wiring harness. You will then insert the custom wiring end with yellow wire between the separated connectors. With the black double-sided tape, attach the converter box to a flat surface inside the vehicle. After you are done with this step, you will need to route the custom wiring end with the green
wire to the passenger side behind the removed scuff panels. You will use the passenger tail light wiring harness for this part of the process.

The final thing you need to do is route the black power wire from the positive stake of the battery terminal. I went ahead and included a diagram of how to route the black wire as well as the other wires involved.
