Will this head replace E5 head.

The Curt E5 ( # 16516 E16 5th wheel hitch) uses Curt's R16 slider, which is compatible with the Curt # C16520 A16 5th wheel hitch head.
The A series hitches feature an interlocking jaw that will hold the king pin much more tightly than the slide bar jaw on the E series, so you'll eliminate much of the chucking and banging you experience while towing, for a much improved ride quality.
