Question:

Are you able to used this hub as Oil Bath, I am using oil bath and want to stay that way Over a hundred thousand miles whit no bearing problems Not sure what picture you are receiving

I spoke with HydraStar and their Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Triple Axle Trailers # HSE7K-TR1 can be used as oil bath, but they do recommend using standard grease. This is due to when oil bath hubs are left sitting for a while, it will pool at the bottom of the hub. Grease will stay coated on everything and provide better coverage.

The problem with these typically being used with grease will be the cap. This will use a cap like the Grease Cap, 2.72" OD Drive In with Plug - Qty 2 # rg04-120 that has a 2.72 inch diameter. The closest oil bath cap we currently have will be the Redline Oil Cap, Plug and O-Ring for Dexter 7-9K Trailer Axles # RG04-230. This will have a larger 2.875 inches and will also be threaded, so it will need some customizing to make it fit.
