Question:
My companion 5th wheel hitch i purchased from etrailer is working great. It came pre-greased with some blue grease applied to the single zerk. Can you tell me the exact kind of grease used. Was it marine perhaps? It has been in the heat and that grease is very stable and I would like to continue to use the same or similar type. I wasn’t sure if it was applied by etrailer or BandW.

Helpful Expert Reply:
I spoke with B&W, and they recommended to use an all purpose grease such as the LubriMatic Multi-Purpose Lithium Grease # L11316 for your B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # BWRVK3500-5W.
Any polyurethane components should be appropriately greased with white lithium grease, such as the LubriMatic White Lithium Grease # L11354, as recommended by B&W.
