I have a 2013 F250 and my triaxle boat trailer has this system. I have ed on my trailer options electric over hydraulici but it still take two second even in emergency braking to feel Anything from the trailer. When it engages its strong, but should it take that long or do I need part number T4845900 to make it work quicker?

My contact at Titan advises that the Plug and Play Electric-Hydraulic Actuator Kit, part # T4813102, will begin to develop hydraulic pressure approximately 3/10ths of a second after the tow vehicle brakes are applied (and after the brake controller sends its braking signal to the actuator). It is normal for the hydraulic pressure from the actuator to take additional time to build up, travel through the lines and reach the trailer brake assemblies. An overall delay of 1 to 2 seconds is typical. (Using larger diameter brake lines is an option that will reduce response time by allowing more brake fluid and pressure to reach the brake assemblies.)
My contact advises that if your 2013 Ford -250 has an integral factory brake controller it should have a switch to select the type of brakes on the trailer (either electric or electric-over-hydraulic). First you can check to ensure that if your brake controller has this switch that it is in the electric-over-hydraulic position.
If this does not reduce the trailer brake response time then you can use the Titan Brake Rite SD adapter for Ford trucks, part # T4845900, which enables the controller to properly communicate with the actuator and regulates the amperage delivered to it.
