Question:

I am replacing a rusted out hitch on my 99 Tahoe. How would I go about removing old old bolts and guide plates so I can fish the new ones in?

After watching the installation video of the Curt # C14029 on a 1998 Chevrolet Tahoe it looks like you should have fairly good access to the bolts and blocks from the outside of the frame. I would try using a telescoping magnet to get the old hardware out. There is really no set way to do this since typically the hitch does not need to be removed and the mounting hardware is designed to hold it securely in place. If you end up needing replacement hardware we do have the # RHK kit which allows you to choose the correct hardware based on the hitch you have.
