Is Additional Lighting Needed When Using Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly
Updated 09/13/2021 | Published 09/12/2021 >
Question:
Im considering your Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly which according to the description already has lighting. My question is whether additional lighting is needed on the vehicle that is on the tow dolly? I have seen some folks with additional light bars on their vehicles but Ive never noticed if that was because their tow dolly had no lights. Thanks!

Excellent question, and the lighting on the dolly is DOT compliant, so no additional lighting is needed when using the Kar Kaddy SS, which is the following part number:
- Demco Kar Kaddy SS Tow Dolly with Disc Brakes # DM9713045
The dolly has the required brake lights, tail lights, turn signal lights, front fender marker lights and a license plate light; it connects to your motorhome via the dolly's 4-flat connector which activates the lights.
The Kar Kaddy SS # DM9713045 is a superb option to consider, and my favorite dolly because it uses a a simple surge coupler to activate its strong hydraulic disc brakes, which means there is no messy wiring to worry about like with dollies that use electric brakes. The dolly also folds up and has a stow-away tongue which makes it the easiest dolly to store when you aren't using it.
Additionally, it offers you the ability to add a rock shield, which will help keep debris from hitting the front of your vehicle to keep it from being damaged; for that you would just need the Sentry Deflector for Demco Kar Kaddy Tow Dollies # DM5950.
