Length of the Thule T1 and Thule T2 Classic Bike Racks Replacement Spar

Question:
How long are these? I have what I think to be the Thule T2 Classicthough its actually from Sportworks circa 2003-ish before they sold to Thule. The spars are 2x1.5x14 or 16 ga and are only about 122 cm long, which is too short to accommodate modern MTN bikes w/ 29inch dia wheels and 121cm wheelbases.

The Replacement Spar and Pivot Tube Assembly for Thule T1 and Thule T2 Classic Bike Racks # TH28RV is 47-7/8" long.
The bike racks this spar is a replacement for do fit bikes with a wheel diameter: 20" - 29" and maximum wheelbase: 48".
