Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a look at this replacement spar and pivot tube assembly for the Thule T1 and the Thule T2 Classic Bike Racks. Now, this part here will replace a spar and pivot tube assembly that's on the Thule T1 Platform Rack, which is part number TH9041, or your T2 Classic Platform Rack, part number TH9044 or TH9045. This will also fit the Thule T2 Classic 2-Bike Add-On, which is part number TH9046. Now, the T2 Classic Platform Rack I mentioned and the T2 Classic Add-On does require two assemblies, this is just for a part of one assembly. This is a steel construction, has a nice black powder coat finish on it, it is made in the USA.
But basically, what happens is the front and the rear wheel cradles is what shall attach to this tube assembly, along with an upright arm that goes to this pivot arm here that'll hold the ratchet hook that holds your front tire of your bike in place on this rack, and then this pole part will attach horizontally to the main post of the bike rack. I did wanna pop up a picture of one of those bike racks just to show what we're talking about. If you look at that horizontal assembly on there, that would be this part right here. But that should do it for the review on the replacement spar and pivot tube assembly for the Thule T1 and Thule T2 Classic Bike Racks.

Exact replacement part for a Thule bike rack that is at least 12 years old. Didn't think I would be able to find it but these guys had it!
The bar was perfect fit even though I have the older T2 model (grey). Excited parts are still available.
I am extremely happy with the product I am glad you can still get these mine rotted from the inside out so hopefully these will last longer !
