Question:
The two brass fittings that are threaded into the ininch spots on the right and left sides of the propane reg have some sort of check valve inside them. I cannot seem to get any air flow or propane flow thru them. Can I remove those fittings and use my old fittings which do not have these check valves blockage! inside them?

No, you would need to use a fitting with backcheck # 37207-30045 on your Camco Automatic Changeover 2-Stage Propane Regulator for Dual Propane Tanks # CAM59005 to prevent one tank from filling the other tank and potentially causing an overfill in one tank. The ones you have on there could be defective so I recommend changing them first and if not then the blockage could be the regulator itself and you'll need to replace it.
