If you had a previous version of the Reese hitch part # RP30047 which was rated for 15k and wanted to upgrade it to the 16k version you'd need the kit part # RP30047A which is the head and crossmember. We've had this question before and have confirmed that this is the correct way to go about it with Reese in the past.
