Question:
My husband installed my Thule crossbars, and didnt remove the factory crossbars. If they need to come off, is there a reason why I can tell him? Your instructions said to remove, but he is saying they can stay! Thanks for your help!

Expert Reply:
I typically recommend removing the factory crossbars to avoid any interference with aftermarket crossbars, but in your case, it sounds like it is not an issue. As long as your Thule crossbars (# TH711220 and # TH710401) are installed correctly and your accessories are fitting properly, then your factory crossbars do not need to be removed. I attached a demonstration video for you.
