How wide is the top over hang on the jif dock edging? How much space between screws?

The Jif Marine Dock Edging # JIF56VR has a 1-1/4" overhang for the top of the dock edging.

I recommend securing the edging every 12" both on the top and bottom edges with stainless steel screws. The screws should have a large flat head and preferably a torx bit head to reduce the chances of stripping when they need tightened or removed.
