Question:

Will this hitch physicallyinch fit my 2017 VW Passat SE Tsi, but, interfere with the touchless trunk release feature? Or, does it simply not fit my car. Many thanks.

Unfortunately, the trunk release feature uses a control box that would interfere with the Curt # C11234 and Draw-Tite # 24880 hitches being installed so there is a physical difference in the vehicle that prevents the hitches from fitting vehicles equipped with the hands-free trunk release feature.

This being said, because of the different way the hitch fits, the EcoHitch # 306-X7317 WILL fit, and in many cases will not interfere with the hands-free trunk release feature according to EcoHitch. The hitch also has a 2 inch receiver tube which is a plus, as you'll have a much better selection of hitch mounted accessories that would be compatible.
