Does the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 have enough clearance with a 2021 Toyota Venza?

Question:

I have a factory installed Toyota activity mount and it is not flush with the rear bumper. The measurement I took from the center of the hitch hole to clear the bumper is approximately 6. I prefer not to use an adapter therefore reducing the carrying weight. I really dont plan to leave the bike rack on the car when I not carrying bikes so if there is not enough clearance to fold it up - thats OK. I do need to have enough clearance when the rack is folded down with bikes attached. Thanks.

Yes, the Kuat Sherpa 2.0 # SH12G will clear the bumper on your 2021 Toyota Venza if your measurement from the center of your hitch pinhole to the end of your bumper is approximately 6 inches. The measurement of the length of the shank's pinhole to the closest part of the Sherpa 2.0 is 7-1/2 inches. The 7-1/2 inch length is distance when the rack is in the folded position, so you will have the option to fold the rack when not in use. As for the distance of the pinhole to the closest part of the Sherpa 2.0 when folded down, it is 11 inches.
