Question:

I have an old saris bone 2 thats missing the upper hook straps. I was wondering if buying hatch huggers instead of the replacement hook straps would work just as well for my vehicle. Was thinking hatch huggers look more secure, is my line of reasoning correct? Whats your expert advice? I have a toyota prius 2010 hatchback. Thanks.

I have a solution for you. I went ahead and checked the specs for your 2010 Toyota Prius hatchback. For your particular vehicle, it is not recommended to use hatch huggers as a substitute for the top straps of the Saris Bones 2 # SA805BL. Instead, I recommend the Anchor Straps for Saris Bones, Bike Porter, and Sentinel Bike Racks - 80" Long - Qty 2 # SA2047. The hooked straps are the best fitment for your vehicle.
