Hello, Thank you for your quick response to my previous question on the tow hitch for my Prius Prime. Unfortunately it was not the answer I was looking for so on to plan B. Will this Thule UpRide bike rack work with my 2019 Toyota Prius Prime OEM roof rack? Thank you.

Your question references the The Thule UpRide but it has the part number for the Thule TopRide, so I addressed both bike roof racks in my answer. The Thule TopRide Roof Bike Rack for 1 Bike - Fork Mount, part # TH75JV and the Thule UpRide Roof Bike Rack - Wheel Mount - Clamp On or Channel Mount - Aluminum, part # TH599000, will both fit the factory roof rack on your 2019 Prius Prime.

The Thule TopRide is a fork mounted rack that works with standard quick release wheels and 15mm thru axles. It will clamp to your factory rack crossbars. If you have a 20mm boost thru axle you will need a special adapter, part # TH38BV. The Thule UpRide will also clamp to your factory rack crossbars, but you do not have to remove your front wheel to load your bike on the rack. You will be able to lock your bike to your factory roof rack with each of these racks. All you need is a Thule One-Key System Lock Cylinder. Each of these racks will work. I prefer the Thule UpRide since I am a mountain biker and I do not like removing a muddy wheel before I load my bike on the roof rack.
