Will the straps rub the paint off my trailer or boat.

My contact at BoatBuckle told me that as long as you tighten the straps snugly according to the directions that the chance of rubbing the paint off either your trailer or boat is slim. He continued with there is always a chance, but, again, if they are tightened properly, the chance that you will have paint removal is slim.
He told me the type of webbing used is of a seat-belt type webbing which is softer and not as rigid as many of the straps on the market.
