Question:
I have a concession trailer and it currently has a rooftop vent. The trailer is 9x7, is it possible to install a rooftop ac unit in place of the vent? Also what size, we normally plug it in at events and don’t use a generator.

Yes, you can install an AC unit on your concession trailer, but you will definitely need a generator, and will need to open up a space on the roof to install the AC unit. Since you have a smaller trailer a 13,500 Btu unit will be plenty, and you'll need to have an opening on the roof of 14-1/4" long x 14-1/4" wide. You will also need a start capacitor in order to help jumpstart the AC so you can save on a generator.
What you will need in order to do this are the following:
- Advent Air RV Air Conditioner w/ Air Distribution Box and Start Capacitor - 13,500 Btu # ACM135C
- Firman 3,300-Watt Portable RV Dual Fuel Inverter Generator - Propane or Gas - Electric Start # FIR54FR
