Could Rhino Rack Dome 1300 Awning be Used at Rear of Hiker Trailer Camper
Updated 07/12/2021 | Published 07/07/2021 >
Question:
Our rooftop tent forced us to remove our passenger-side rhino rack batwing. We would like to replace the awning, but the need for shade is mostly in the back of the vehicle. It looks like the Sunseeker is too wide for the back of our trailer, which is only 60. We have cross bars where we would have to double-up the tent and awning installation. I cant figure out how wide the Dome 1300 is when packed up. Any suggestions for options other than a drivers-side batwing?

When the Rhino Rack Dome 1300 # RR32125 is packed up it's actually pretty narrow. I attached a picture that shows it attaches to a camper shell on the back of a Ford Ranger and you can see it is not any wider than the truck. I looked up the width of the Ford Rangers of that generation and they are 69-1/2 inches. So there would be a little bit of overhang on your 60 inch wide trailer but this would still work fine.
